Donald Trump CNN

This morning (July 02, 2017), the President of the United States tweeted this video on Twitter.

The video is from when Donald Trump appeared at WWE’s WrestleMania in 2007 and tackled someone.

It’s been edited so that the man he tackled has CNN‘s logo for a head. CNN’s Brian Stelter pointed out on Twitter that the video surfaced on Reddit four days earlier.

So, Trump didn’t even have the creativity to have someone on his team create the video.

In Trump’s tweet, he used the hashtag #fraudnewscnn and #FNN. In another tweet on Saturday, Trump suggested that he would use those labels as a way to lash out of the network’s critical reporting.

This is what CNN’s PR Twitter account had to say about the tweet:

This is the full statement from CNN in response to the video:

“It is a sad day when the President of the United States encourages violence against reporters. Clearly, Sarah Huckabee Sanders lied when she said the President had never done so. Instead of preparing for his overseas trip, his first meeting with Vladimir Putin, dealing with North Korea and working on his health care bill he is involved in juvenile behavior far below the dignity of his office. We will keep doing our jobs. He should start doing his.”

Trump seemed to be playing off of his earlier Twitter rant:

No surprisingly, Twitter reacted with disgust and humor:
