Adele was performing in Australia Sunday night when a mosquito bit her.
Adele immediately freaked out, screaming incoherently and running across the stage to get away from the insect.
Adele uttered a stream of expletives about the bugs before exclaiming, “They’re sucking my blood!” and running around the stage to avoid the pests. As more mosquitoes arrived, the singer couldn’t keep her cool.
“I’m sorry, I’m not Australian, I don’t like bugs! It was sucking my blood, it was sucking my blood!” she screams in a fan-recorded video.
The mother-of-one then asked concertgoers how she should deal with the pesky bug, with one telling her to “squash it”.
But the singer seemed unwilling to hurt the insect, and then exclaimed: “Oh his friend has come to help him out… they’re everywhere, they’re all trying to kill me!”
Later, as Adele attempted to regain her composure, she apologized to the crowd for her hilarious reaction, saying: “Oh how embarrassing! That scared the life out of me!”
